FEDERAL CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE AND RELIEF SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT (CRRSAA) 2021

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, the Federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) 2021 has provided an additional emergency financial aid grant for students called the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II). This grant may be used to assist students who have exceptional needs related to educational costs, food, housing, healthcare, and childcare.

South Florida Institute of Technology received $1,595,033 as part of the HEERF II fund. With these funds, we will provide direct emergency grants to students. South Florida Institute of Technology has opted to award $1,000 in HEERF II grants to students determined to have the most need after completing their eligibility form. Please contact the Financial Aid office to complete the eligibility form for emergency grants and learn more about the grant. South Florida Institute of Technology will review and award HEERF II grants until the funds are exhausted.

Please note: the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) is separate from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (HEERF III), passed by Congress and signed into law by the President on March 11, 2021. South Florida Institute of Technology will not participate in the American Rescue Plan Act (HEERF III).
