Objective
To prepare a thorough cost estimate that includes both the direct and indirect costs associated with bringing a project through to completion. This includes various overhead costs (utilities, labor, etc.), labor costs (including both time and wages paid), materials and equipment costs, and more.
Course Description
Learn how to identify factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor. Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates. Learn to collaborate with engineers, architect, clients, and contractors. Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates, and recommend ways to cut costs. Maintain records of estimated and actual costs.
